EAGLE ROCK EASTER CLASSIC.

FAQ.

What kind of bike do I need?

From Big Wheels to Triathlon Bikes, every type of bicycle and rider is welcome! The course consists of beautifully paved roads, so there is no need for a gravel or mountain bike. The important thing is that you bring a bike that you will enjoy riding for whatever distance you choose.

Are Helmets required?

Absolutely! We love our cycling community and want to see everyone complete the ride safely.

Will there be rest stops?

Of course! Rest Stops will be at the 10.3, 17.5, 32.7(37.4 for the 100k course) and 53.9 mile marks. Expect the rest stops to be just as awesome as the ride itself! So awesome, as a matter of fact, that the only hard part will be leaving to get to the next one!

Will there be restrooms?

Most certainly! We will have ample restroom facilities at the start / finish and there will also be facilities available at select rest stops.

Where do I park?

Parking will be available at Rainbow Middle School with overflow parking available near the soccer fields and at John Jones Elementary. Click here for a map.

What is SAG?

SAG stands for Support And Gear. Thanks to Gadsden Outfitters and Cahaba Cycles Gadsden, we will have full course support. They will be able to handle minor adjustments before the start of the ride to make sure that you are ready to enjoy the day. On course, they will provide minor repairs (Flats, chain repair, etc…) to get you back in the saddle. If the repair is too much to handle on the side of the road, they will make sure to get you and your equipment back to your vehicle safely.

Can my family join me for lunch after the ride?

Yes! We would love to have you come and cheer on your rider as they cross the finish line! Then join us for a fun time of live music and great food. Just register online and choose the Lunch Only option to secure your place at the table.

Why are we riding?

We ride to support Eagle Rock Boys Ranch. They are a local non-profit that helps disadvantaged boys overcome the obstacles that can keep them from fulfilling their destiny. Eagle Rock gives each boy the necessary tools to find healing, experience family, and prepare for the future.

Is Onsite Registration available?

It sure is! Registration will be open until roll time. We will have handy QR codes for you to scan with your mobile device that will take you directly to our registration page. Once you have completed the registration, simply show the confirmation to one of our friendly registration volunteers and they will get you set up with a swag bag and T-Shirt (based on availability - first come, first served). Don’t want to sign up online? No worries, we can accommodate you too!

What happens if it rains on the day of the ride?

You will get wet! Seriously though, this is a rain or shine event. The only way it will be cancelled is if dangerous conditions will compromise the safety of those involved. As all cyclists know, if you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are tougher than the average bear. Period.
